Players are responsible for the provision of the following:
A valid Player ID.
A deck or team that meets the format restrictions for the tournament.
A legible and accurate list of the cards that comprise the player's deck (deck list), or the Pokémon on a player's team (team list).
Any implements necessary to play, track, and maintain game information. This included but is not limited to items such as:
Damage counters
Special condition markers
Randomizers
Video game system in good working order
Genuine Game Card or digital game in good working order
What you need to do when you forgot to bring something, depends on what you forgot to bring:
Food: A shopping center is nearby, so food can be bought in other establishments.
Drinks: a limited selection of drinks is available at MagicVortex.
Playmat, damage counters, and coins can be borrowed from the shop or from other players.
Your 60-card deck: if you forgot to bring your deck, you will not be able to participate in the League Challenge or Cups unless someone has a deck to spare.
Missing cards in your deck: if your deck is not complete, and you noticed this before the start of the tournament, you can check with other players to add the missing cards to your deck or replace them with energy cards and create a new deck list. But if this is noticed during game play, it is considered a Severe Deck Legality infraction and results in a game loss.
Sleeves: MagicVortex sells sleeves, so these can be bought at the event.
Deck or team list: you will be able to fill out these lists on site.
Your Nintendo Switch and your game: you will not be able to participate in the VG League Challenge unless someone has an additional Nintendo Switch and game.
You can use discord let us know that you will arrive late to an event, or you can contact MagicVortex.
If you arrive before the start of the tournament but after registration closes, you will be added to start in the first round.
If you arrive after the start of the tournament (during the first round), the first round will be considered a loss, and you will be paired to compete as from the second round.
We will not accept late arrivals once the second round is paired and started.
On the home page of this website, you can find a contact form that can be filled in. In the same section, you can find our e-mail address and the link to our discord group.
All three options can be used in case of questions.
You can register for a tournament by going to the Events page (yellow button on the top of this page). On that page, you can click on the subscribe button that corresponds with the tournament you want to register for (League Challenge, League Cup, Pre-release).
Fill in the form and click Submit to register for an event.
The best way to request the scheduling of a casual play event is to use our discord group. Through this contact channel you will also be able to find the necessary participants for this event.
